Here are my pictures from today’s ultrasound.<\/p>\n

Good strong legs.<\/p>\n

I got a voicemail while asleep that my US tech called in sick, so I would have to reschedule.\u00a0 Luckily they could squeeze me into their north office a little later today.\u00a0 Jack woke up with a cold but by gum, we are doing this today!\u00a0 The tech said my little guy is sitting super low in my belly.\u00a0 Like, “Ouch, that must be painful” low.\u00a0 Why yes, it is quite painful. I have nearly constant pain on the my right side.\u00a0 Since about two months in I can’t turn in bed normally due to sharp pains.\u00a0 That explains it I guess. \u00a0 <\/p>\n

When I told Jack he would have a little brother he asked “What’s his name?”\u00a0 I have no idea, child.\u00a0 No idea.<\/p>\n

I have to admit that I’m disappointed we aren’t having a girl.\u00a0 I really wanted one and I was hopeful that this one felt different enough.\u00a0 I guess it’s just the fact that’s it’s a second pregnancy, and every gestation is a beautiful unique snowflake, blah blah.\u00a0 Girls names came easily to me and I had visions of ruffles and purple and princesses and ballet shoes.\u00a0 I know, I know.\u00a0 Brothers!\u00a0 How fun!\u00a0 We already have all the clothes we need!\u00a0 Boys are easier than girls!\u00a0 All of that is true, but I’m still sad I won’t have a little girl.<\/p>\n

But I have a loving husband who merrily agreed to take me to Fancy Tiger tonight so I start a baby sweater for our new little boy.\u00a0 I think that will help cheer me up.\u00a0 Fine yarn has that effect on me.\u00a0 I’m perusing Miranda’s adorable<\/a> projects<\/a> for Cedar<\/a> to get ideas<\/a>.\u00a0 I also have to dive into Nameberry<\/a>.\u00a0 Seriously.\u00a0 No idea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
