Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were debating how to spend this precious Saturday morning.\u00a0 Park?\u00a0 Backyard wading pool?\u00a0 Movie?\u00a0 Then we noticed that the Arvada <a href=\"http:\/\/visitarvada.org\/events\/sand-in-the-city\/\">Sand in the City Festival<\/a> was this weekend.\u00a0 Sounded fun, but when we discovered it was only a few blocks from our house, that sold us.\u00a0 So we walked through the neighborhood to a pretty fun little fair.\u00a0 We met out friends Mike, Trish, and Ellis (aka Wolfie) to play.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoyed the sand art.\u00a0 This one, a tribute to the Lego movie, was very popular.\u00a0 We are indulging in an enormous Froot Loops marshmallow square. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rachelsmason\/14506032226\" pork and grilled chicken with rice and mac salad, freshly fried mini donuts, a wild boar sandwich, funnel cake, and a fried Oreo.\u00a0 When the kids were cranky and the water bottles empty, we tucked
