{"id":262,"date":"2015-05-04T21:04:00","date_gmt":"2015-05-04T21:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eaumaison.wordpress.com\/2015\/05\/04\/this-and-that"},"modified":"2015-05-04T21:04:00","modified_gmt":"2015-05-04T21:04:00","slug":"this-and-that","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/eaumaison.us\/index.php\/2015\/05\/04\/this-and-that\/","title":{"rendered":"This and That"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, we went on our date.\u00a0 The movie and the food and the friends were all fabulous.\u00a0 Yes, I left the sitter with Jack who was complaining of feeling sick again and wanted to lie down.\u00a0 Apparently he just laid around watching TV then went to bed early.\u00a0 Whatever.\u00a0 I got to see some superheros save the world and not worry about anything else for a couple hours.\u00a0 Relaxing.<\/p>\n<p>Of course the illness is not over.\u00a0 No ho ho.\u00a0 Sam has a runny nose today and Jack has had more episodes of suddenly feeling &#8220;sick in my tummy.&#8221;\u00a0 He lies down for a while, then recovers.\u00a0 So weird, and so bad for my nerves.<\/p>\n<p>I have been sewing more tops this week.\u00a0 For some reason, knitting is not doing it for me lately.\u00a0 I&#8217;m waiting for Fancy Tiger to get their new shipment of Madelinetosh yarn, so the things I&#8217;m working on are not new or exciting.\u00a0 I sewed a Sailor Top out of Liberty of London fabric and it&#8217;s just gorgeous.\u00a0 At $34 a yard, I&#8217;ll have to wait for another sale to buy more.<\/p>\n<p>Today was busy for a Monday.\u00a0 I (finally) had an appointment to get my car repaired, so first thing in the morning we dropped it off and got a rental.\u00a0 The staff were so nice and let Jack pick between white and red cars.\u00a0 Guess which he picked?\u00a0 I feel like a teenage boy driving that red thing.\u00a0 Then we all went to the preschool for parent teacher conferences.\u00a0 Jack is doing great, as expected.\u00a0 She gave me some tips to help him smooth out his handwriting by developing fine motor muscles.\u00a0 Sam loved that he finally got to play in the preschool classroom.\u00a0 Usually he tries to sneak in during pick up\/drop off.\u00a0 Next we picked up some playdough at Target (part of his fine motor skills development) and then went to the library for our usual story time.\u00a0 Sam is a MONSTER there.\u00a0 Constantly running all over the place, tearing books off shelves, putting toys in his mouth.\u00a0 I swear, he&#8217;s going to be the WORST in his terrible twos.\u00a0 Good thing he&#8217;s so cute.<\/p>\n<p>Some videos from today and recently, for your enjoyment.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center;
