Jack is doing great.\u00a0 I’m not so hot.\u00a0 Well, strike that, I’m very hot.\u00a0 Our house feels like we’re in the middle of summer.\u00a0 We have our new portable swamp cooler running the bedroom round the clock and we turn on the main floor wall AC unit midday.\u00a0 The animals are sprawled out on the floors.\u00a0 Jack doesn’t need a hat or even a blanket most of the time.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I thought I was on the fast track to healing last week but I seem to have hit a wall.\u00a0 Yesterday and today have been awful.\u00a0 I feel dizzy when I walk too long or get up too fast.\u00a0 My right leg feels weak, where I had gracilis pain during the pregnancy.\u00a0 It burns when I pee.\u00a0 In fact, that whole area still hurts and often itches.\u00a0 I’ve been feeling queasy and nothing sounds good to eat.\u00a0 I get headaches often.\u00a0 I have uncontrollable crying spells.\u00a0 My boobs are too enthusiastic about supply and hurt when Jack cries or goes more than two hours without eating.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Speaking of which, Jack, we need to get your sleep sorted out.\u00a0 He seemed to be on a good schedule of eating at 9, 11, 3:30, and 6:30 throughout the night.\u00a0 He roughly stuck to this all week.\u00a0 Then last night he decided he needed to eat every two hours.\u00a0 I was up at 8, 10, 12, 2:20, 4:30, 6:30, and 8.\u00a0 Too much, buddy!\u00a0 Each time he’s up it takes me an hour to feed him, change him, get him back to sleep, and fall asleep myself.\u00a0 So at most I had an hour of sleep off and on.\u00a0 Ugh.\u00a0 Today he’s back on the 3+ hour schedule.\u00a0 I’ve taken two naps today but still feel exhausted.\u00a0 The heat isn’t helping.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
Yeah, yeah.\u00a0 Welcome to parenthood.\u00a0 I get it.\u00a0 Can’t wait for this part to be over though so I can enjoy being a parent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
