I don’t buy a lot of frivolous things.\u00a0 Unless you could chocolate and diet coke.\u00a0 But every once in a while I go on a spending spree.\u00a0 I’ve got a bit of Christmas money in my savings account that I can dip into when the urge strikes.\u00a0 Here are some recent purchases.<\/p>\n

A dresser for Jack’s room.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He outgrew his changing table in length and I’ve been window shopping (online) for a vintage dresser since he was an infant.\u00a0 Finally hit a good one on craiglist for the right price.\u00a0 I love solid, old furniture.\u00a0 Now I have my eyes peeled for a coordinating nightstand.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With a salon appointment next week, I was inspired to do a little making-over of my image.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I ordered some hair feathers from Etsy.<\/a>\u00a0 Now I look like this:<\/p>\n

Ha!\u00a0 Just kidding.\u00a0 I ordered some brown and purple and only one thin stripey that is currently in my sister’s hair. I put some in partly hidden just to see if they work well (yes!).\u00a0 I’ll put them in more obviously after my visit to the salon this week and before the trip to San Diego.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It’s handy having a prescriber with you in the store, and a long time user to give you tips for putting contacts in.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Aren’t I alluring?\u00a0 It will take some time to get used to them.\u00a0 But I’m already loving being on the computer without my glaring, scratched up glasses.\u00a0 Speaking of which . . .<\/p>\n

They are the Webb frames from Warby Parker<\/a>.\u00a0 It’s a great glasses company.\u00a0 You really all about them on their site.\u00a0 I love their vintage style frames, the try at home offer,\u00a0 and the buy-one-give-one program they have.\u00a0 Ben scoffs at how hipster they are, including their name-which comes from two characters of Jack Kerouac.\u00a0 You probably haven’t heard of them \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
